CountRoute: Group Budget is the pocket travel ledger for villas, road trips, and off-grid treks. Log every expense in any currency, split it your way, and let our settlement engine work out who owes whom — all without a single byte leaving your phone.
Log expenses the moment they happen, in whatever currency you paid with, using your own fixed exchange rates — no signal required.
Split equally, by exact amounts, by percentage, or by weighted shares. Every trip's fairness rules are different — CountRoute bends to yours.
Our algorithm finds the fewest possible transactions to settle every debt, with a transparent audit trail behind each number.
Ready-made packing checklists so nobody's trip starts with a forgotten charger or a missing pair of hiking boots.
Assign who books the ferry, who grabs groceries, and who holds the tent poles — right alongside the budget.
Instant breakdowns of where the money actually went — food, transport, lodging — so next trip's budget is even sharper.
A quick taste of the math CountRoute does for you on every trip.
🧭We're a small crew of frequent travelers who got tired of doing exchange-rate math on hostel Wi-Fi and reconstructing three days of receipts from memory. CountRoute: Group Budget was built by people who've split a villa eight ways, argued about a gas station bill in three currencies, and decided there had to be a better way to keep the peace on the road.
🎯Our mission is simple: let the money handle itself so your group can focus on the trip. No spreadsheets passed around after the fact, no awkward "who owes who" conversations at the airport gate — just clear, fair numbers that everyone can trust from day one to the final settle-up.
💼CountRoute gives you an offline-first ledger for logging shared costs in any currency at your own fixed rate, splitting them equally, by exact amount, by percentage, or by weighted share, and then settling the whole trip in the fewest transactions possible — complete with a personal audit trail, shareable summaries, packing lists, assigned group tasks, and instant category analytics.
🌍"Wander far. Split fair. Keep the memories, lose the math."
CountRoute: Group Budget was designed from the ground up to work entirely offline, on your device, with no account, no server, and no internet connection required. This policy explains — in plain language — what that means for your privacy, because the short version is: there is almost nothing to explain, since we never see your data in the first place.
We collect none. CountRoute does not ask for your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, camera roll, or any linked financial account. There is no sign-up screen because there is no account to create.
Because nothing is collected, nothing is analyzed, profiled, aggregated, or sold. Every calculation — currency conversion, bill splitting, settlement optimization, category totals — happens inside the app for your eyes only.
Trip names, expense entries, exchange rates, packing lists, group tasks, and settlement results are stored solely in local storage on your own device. Nothing is mirrored to a cloud service, backend database, or any server operated by us, because none exists for this purpose.
CountRoute does not embed analytics kits, advertising networks, or third-party trackers of any kind. No usage statistics are transmitted anywhere, and no external company receives data about how you use the app.
Since your trip ledger never travels beyond your own phone, there is no remote database that can be breached and no account credentials that can leak. Keeping your device itself secure — a passcode, a locked screen — is the only safeguard that applies.
CountRoute does not knowingly or unknowingly collect personal information from anyone, regardless of age. Families are welcome to use it to track shared allowances or trip costs with kids involved, with the same zero-collection guarantee that applies to every user.
There are no accounts to close and no servers holding a copy of your information, so you are always in full control. Deleting the app removes every trip, expense, packing list, and task from your device, completely and permanently.
As we add new ways to log, split, or plan a trip, we may update this policy to reflect those features. Any revision will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and our core promise of zero data collection will never change.
Questions about this policy can be sent to privacy@countrouteapp.com — we're happy to explain any part of it in more detail.
